Hello Clive! Thanks for leading me to the article about Maya.

I stumbled upon this website only last September 10. The day before, I attended a visualization class. I remember asking the teacher about some of the choices that I needed to face. She said, “I cannot make choices for you or else I’ll deprive you of learning experiences.”

Suddenly some thought came to mind: not even God can help me out. I cannot depend on God forever (whatever God is). And for the first time, I began thinking seriously, “What if there’s no God/Divine at all to depend on? What do I do?” Just thinking of the possible nonexistence of “God” scares me so much. I had been too dependent on people and on the “divine” all my life because that was the only way I have known.

The impact of the insight bothered me so much. The next day, I stumbled upon this website. Since then I found my previous beliefs on lightwork and spirituality being challenged (most of which I picked up after abandoning organized religion a year ago).

Thanks a lot for reminding me about the power of choice.

Hi Nina, to me everything is about choice. Whether you have a choice or not IN ALL WAYS. Most spiritual / healing attitudes are aligned to the psychotically positive, which ends having people labelling things as either wholly good or wholly crap. So, it’s either ‘good’ and you have to fall over yourself to ‘align’ to that or it’s ‘bad’ and then you have to dedicatedly avoid & align away from this. As any business that turned away from what was causing it debilitations would FAIL then it’s a bit strange that the strategy of choice of just about everything ENSURES that people take as little notice of or engage as little as possible with DEBILITATING things. The end result of such ‘unenlightening’ alignments guarantee poor or ineffective tools to DEAL with debilitations that’s if your awareness isn’t reduced to such an extent that you cannot even notice this happening? Hence at the other end of the scale your forced to assume everything is wonderful. Read the other post here by Maya; artificial-bliss-versus-natural-happiness for more on where this extreme leads to; artificially, prosthetically enforced so called ’spiritual’ states with ZERO choice.

The ‘higher self’ label is used as a catch all term for many different (mostly) debilitating things at least in terms of choice. I only figure out what this might be when this type of ‘issue’ becomes the limiting factor with regards resolving issues in my clients; then we explore and deal with this. In other words it’s not a straight forward ‘you’ve got A so B is happening’.

I’m still a newbie reader of WSW. Earlier I had a reading with a psychic and she mentioned I have a higher self.

This is actually the first time I encountered that mentioned anything about the higher self being a liability rather than an asset.

From your point of view, what are the signs that I really have or do not have a higher self? And how do I know whether my desire to help and serve others come from an annoying pattern from the higher self or a choice that I made before at one point in my existence? I don’t think this desire came from negative entities as of now though. I grew up in an environment where volunteerism and service to others is highly encouraged.

According to the reading, my soul group of origination is Blueprint Deliverer and Blueprint Technician. I have no idea if I have other forms of star seed existence yet.

. . . or rather, I am drawn to helping others because my soul trained in the fourth energy center somewhere in the Universe.
